It gives me great pleasure, and a tremendous sense of child-like excitement, to be able to tell you all that “The Gateway of Time“, the first book in the Tales of Maroth, has finally been released and is available to buy now!
Published through Aspect Design, the book tells the story of five young friends who, while on holiday in the Gwynant Valley, North Wales, explore a cave on the hill of Dinas Emrys and find themselves thrown back to the year 1511. There they meet the wizard Maroth and his companion, Merric; a visitor from a far off world who is stranded on Earth.
The story has been with me for quite a while (since 1986, in fact), and was actually originally published in 1991, although I was never truly happy with the end result. Since then, along with having written two further stories in the Tales of Maroth, I had been hoping to some day revisit the first book and get it published in a form that I would be proud of.
